My California Delicious? A Family Reunion-Spa Weekend in Santa Barbara

Company President Lisa tells us about a recent getaway to Santa Barbara…

To celebrate my Moms 80th birthday, our whole family wanted to get together somewhere new and picturesque. My brothers’ family came up from Southern California, we came down from the San Francisco Bay Area and we enjoyed a very relaxing weekend. There was something for everyone and we were so busy with all the resort amenities that we never had to leave the property. Bacara Resort and Spa has a beautiful Spa of course but so much else!  A state-of-the-art workout room, the great Spa Café for breakfast, top of the line restaurant “Miro” – which is where we threw the 80th Birthday Party for Mom.  The service and food were excellent!

It wasn’t hard to enjoy ourselves with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean everywhere we looked.

In the mornings, I took walks along the coast beach combing while the kids played tennis, swam in the pool, played ball on the beach and even played a few rounds at the nearby public golf course “Sandpiper” - which has one of the best views for the price, as you golf. Being fit made the trip here more fun but my Mom enjoyed everything just as much because there was golf cart chauffeur service whenever needed.

My California Delicious? The Farmers Market Omelette at the Spa Café,  enjoyed on the patio, in the sunshine after an early morning workout.

Bacara Resort and Spa is 20 minutes north of Santa Barbara and 5 minutes from the UCSB Campus there is lots to see and do if you stay longer.
